A rivet nut, also known as a riveted nut or blind rivet nut, is an internally threaded fastener that is fixed onto thin plate materials through plastic deformation. Its core function is to quickly form a high-strength threaded hole on the thin plate, facilitating the subsequent connection of other components with bolts or screws. A rivet nut does not require damaging the surface of the material. Compared with traditional welded nuts or self-tapping screws, it is especially suitable for scenarios where welding is not possible or the material is too thin.
